The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness (AIE) Committee met on Dec. 17, 2019 at 1 p.m. The meeting minutes are as follows:
Dr. Geehan opened meeting. Jim Macklin, Dennis Wax and Dr. Geehan attended a Middle States conference Dec. 9 – 11 in Philadelphia. They met the college’s Middle States Liaison Hilda Plumey. Dr. Geehan provided an update on the Middle States Peer Review Report. The report was completed and sent to Middle States. Recommendation was made to post the report on the Chronicle.
The committee discussed the Employee Satisfaction Survey Questions and agreed that there should be an option added to all questions — “I don’t know enough about this topic to answer.”
Questions to keep — 4, 8, 9, 10, 12-21, 23, 25-28, 30-34
Questions to remove — 7, 11, 22, 24
Questions 1-3 — the committee decided not to combine these but rather further define and will come back to this to discuss better wording
Questions 5, 6 and 29 — the committee agreed to reword
The meeting was adjourned at 2 p.m.
