The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness (AIE) Committee met on February 11 ata 1 p.m. The meeting minutes are as follows:
Dr. Margaret Geehan opened meeting with an update on the Nuventive software. Committee members then discussed the Student Opinion Survey. The date the survey will be sent out is still to be determined. There are 269 responses to the Employee Survey to date.
Question 15:
15a – remove the word “campus”
15c – separate “faculty” and “non-staff” into two different questions
Suggestion made to add a question regarding, “Student respect for faculty”
15i – remove the word “campus”
Suggestion made to move “Faculty accessibility” question to this section (which is now in Question 7)
Question 17:
17c – reword to “Registrar’s Services”
Suggestion made to add, “Admission Services”
17d – remove “process” and replace with “services”
17f – suggestion made to separate into two questions, one involving Health Services and one involving Counseling Services
17g – removed (as per decision during 1/28/20 AIE committee meeting)
17k – committee decided to remove
Suggestion made to use a different survey for Transfer Students
Suggestion made to add a question regarding the library as well as a question regarding the needs of students with disabilities
Question 18:
18b – remove ice skating, basketball and incorporate “facilities”
18c – add bus trips
18d – add Voices Lecture Series, etc.
18e – add yoga, meditation room, etc.
18g – change to read, “Opportunities for on-campus community service as well as off-campus community service
18j – revise to include Facebook, student announcements, Twitter, social media, etc.)
Suggestion made to add a free text box to ask, “One to three things you’d like to improve”
The meeting was adjourned at 2 p.m.
