The library recognizes that the reserve textbook collection is essential to many students and faculty. During campus shutdown, the library building is closed so print materials are not available for borrowing. However, many textbooks and other materials are available freely through various platforms during this global health emergency.
Visit the library’s Textbooks on Reserve subject guide for links to free or freely online titles. The guide is being actively transformed to provide links to free electronic access to textbooks, videos, and other sources that have been only available within the building. The guide will be continually updated as free access is identified.
Note that “free” access to students may be based on paid subscriptions provided by the library or through temporary open access provided by textbook publishers this semester. Free access is likely to only be available during the Spring 2020 semester in recognition of the rapid transition to remote learning by colleges and universities across the globe.
