Writing Specialist Jim LaBate is publishing an article each day in Student Announcements to provide a 10-step guide to writing a research paper. The series began April 15.
The series includes: Choosing a Topic, Finding a Focus, Starting Your Research, Developing a Thesis, Organizing Your Ideas, Documenting Your Sources, Avoiding Plagiarism, Citing Sources, Revising Your Paper and Proofreading Your Paper
Please refer students, especially those who might need assistance with writing assignments, to this series or to the Writing and Research Center. Students should send an email to writinglearningcenter@hvcc.edu, and one of the writing specialists will respond.
