The Student Life Committee of the Academic Senate is requesting nominations for the John L. Buono Award for Civic Engagement. The award is presented to a graduating senior (or recent graduate) of the college who has shown a commitment to community service through volunteer work.
Nominations may be submitted by any employee of the college and are due by Monday, April 27, at 5 p.m. To nominate a student, please email the following information to Donna McCart, chair of the Student Life Committee, at d.mccart@hvcc.edu:
- Name of Student
- Brief description of student’s community service volunteer work (non-paid)
The committee will review all nominations and then select the recipient.
