The Office of Global Initiatives is excited to share with the campus community that a delegation from the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica (CCCJ) will visit campus, Oct. 17 – 20 to explore potential avenues of cross-border collaboration between HVCC and CCCJ.
The CCCJ is comprised of members from 10 colleges in Jamaica, representatives from other sectors of the post-secondary and secondary education systems, as well as members of business and industry. The CCCJ is a statutory agency under the Ministry of Education, formed by an Act of Parliament. The delegation will be led by Dr. Donna Powell Wilson, CCCJ’s executive director, who also sits on the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics’ Board of Directors with President Ramsammy.
To make certain that our time with the delegation is as productive as possible, we have developed a robust itinerary, allowing the delegation to meet with numerous administrators, faculty and staff, to discuss potential cooperative efforts between HVCC and CCCJ, including but not limited to articulation agreements and exchange programs. This is a fantastic opportunity for HVCC.
If you have any questions regarding the delegation’s visit, please contact Dr. Jay Deitchman, Coordinator for Global Initiatives (global@hvcc.edu).
