The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation hosted its annual gala Oct. 14 at the Franklin Plaza Ballroom in downtown Troy. The event honored Don Fane, president of Callahan Industries and a former member of the college’s Board of Trustees. The event raised more than $100,000 for the capital campaign to build an Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC) on campus that will allow the college to address the urgent need for skilled, trained technicians in applied technologies and skilled trades locally and across the nation.
