During the week of Oct. 17, teachers and administrators from Questar III and HVCC STEM High, as well as teachers from Questar III’s New Visions program, participated in a roundtable discussion with department chairs and faculty from STEM High pathways. The Civil Engineering, Clean Energy, Computer Information Systems and the Health Science Certificate programs participated.
The group discussed student preparedness, learning strategies and explored opportunities for collaboration. These types of partnerships are so important to build that bridge high school students need to to transition to college and beyond.
Thanks to Principal Kim Sparkman and her team for hosting, and special thanks to Department Chairs Joe Dana, Colleen Ferris, Linda Lim, Chris McNally and Mike Shea, and faculty members, Mike Baron, Bruce Suptin and Kevin Wynne for your participation.
