CareerNext is a new partner program at Hudson Valley Community College this semester that provides students who have disabilities or learning differences with one-on-one academic and organizational support to help them achieve their greatest success.
We coordinate with students, their families, the CAAT office, and their professors, to teach life/academic skills as they navigate college. Students enrolled in our program have scheduled hours each week in the CareerNext classroom to go over homework assignments, learn how to organize their time, and be directed on where to go for outside tutoring help when needed. Launched in 2019, CareerNext is run by Living Resources and also partners with SUNY Schenectady and SUNY Cobleskill.
Interested students can learn more about how to apply at www.careernext.org.
The academic coordinator, Jessica Rodgers, is on campus Monday through Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. Brahan 121 and welcomes any interested staff or faculty to stop by with questions. For more information, you can contact her at j.rodgers@hvcc.edu or (518) 903.0066.
