Drone Pilot Training — Hands-On Introduction Course

The Office of Workforce Development is pleased to offer the Drone Pilot Training – Hands-On Introduction Course, a non-credit course, on Monday, Nov. 7.

Would drone pilot training benefit you in your career? Do you and/or your teen have an interest in piloting drones as a hobby? This hands-on course builds the foundational skills you need to pilot a multirotor aircraft (drone) safely and proficiently. No prior experience is required. Instruction will consist of basic flight concepts as they relate to the control and maneuverability of the aircraft. You will complete a variety of flight exercises, starting off simple and becoming more difficult as your proficiency grows. The skills that are most challenging to remote pilots — depth perception, reverse orientation and coordination of controls — will be addressed in this introductory course.

You must be 13-years-old or older to take this course.

Note: Courses taught through the Office of Workforce Development are not limited to the campus community. If someone you know outside of HVCC would like to take this or any other course through our office, they may register online or contact our office.
