Day Two Results: SUNY Chancellor’s Esports Challenge

 

SUNY Chancellor’s Esports Challenge Co-Sponsored by Extreme Networks — day two results

The Hudson Valley esports teams will be playing against approximately 40 other SUNY Colleges for a $20,000 prize pool slated for COVID-19 relief efforts through the #SUNYTogether fund.

HVCC entered five teams across three games in the SUNY Chancellor Esports Challenge with one team finishing day one of the round robin tournament victorious. The HVCC Rocket League team won the first leg of the tournament and entered the Wednesday, April 29 schedule with a 1-0 series lead in their group.

Wednesday’s Results — Best of Five

FORTNITE Team 1 (Emma Rafferty/Shawn Treaster) was defeated by Purchase.

FORTNITE Team 2 (Musa Hemby/Billy Hollis) was defeated 3-2 by SUNY Downstate.

ROCKET LEAGUE (Harlan Jackson/Skyler Williams/Zarek Thomas) won 3-0 over SUNY Erie and improved to 2-0 in Round Robin play. 

SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE Team 1 (Bill Gannon) won 3-0 over SUNY Erie.

SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE Team 2 (Jarred Fink) won 3-0 over SUNY Cobleskill.
