
Student Leader and Polymath
Meet Adam Ostrander, the student member of our working group for the Middle States reaccreditation effort on Standard VI – Planning, Resources, and Institutional Improvement. Adam is co-founder and president of Vikings for Life, he is also president of the Table Tennis Club, and is a member of the Alpha Xi Sigma chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Adam’s leadership style is distinctive; he listens carefully and researches thoroughly before acting, he governs with transparency and writes detailed, clear communications.
Adam studies Math and Science at Hudson Valley, he plans to continue his education by concentrating his talents in the Actuarial Science field.
The working group for standard six is co-chaired by Dennis Wax and Patti Gaston. Members include Elissa Baker, Frank Montanaro, John Mulcare, Kate Teal, Larry Amos, Tammy Conway, Clem Campana, Carol Hammond, Adam Ostrander, Christine Lasch, and Deborah Richey.
