The Office of Workforce Development is pleased to offer Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade A/B, a non-credit course, this coming Spring 2023.
Would you like a rewarding hands-on career, and have an interest in science? This course covers the practices and processes involved in the operation of a modern water treatment plant. Topics covered will include, but not be limited to, legal requirements, chemistry, hydraulics, laboratory analyses, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection. The course meets minimal New York State Department of Health training requirements for certification as either a IIA or IIB water treatment plant operator.
Note: Courses taught through the Office of Workforce Development are not limited to the campus community. If someone you know outside of HVCC would like to take this or any other course through our office, they may register online or contact our office.
