In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, the campus transitioned to all online and remote learning. Despite this unprecedented and unexpected change, our students carried on and 1,790 are expected to complete their degree requirements.

Congratulations!

In place of a traditional commencement day, students, faculty and staff are planning a variety of initiatives to honor and recognize all graduates that will culminate in a Virtual Commencement Celebration on Saturday, June 6 at 7 p.m., as announced in President Ramsammy’s recent update.

In the meantime…

On Saturday, May 16 – the college’s original commencement date – the names of all graduates will appear in special sections to be published in the Times Union, The Daily Gazette, The Record and The Saratogian newspapers.

Graduates also will be recognized on the college’s website and social media channels. All are welcome to participate using the hashtag #HVCCgrads. For additional details and newly-released information, please visit www.hvcc.edu/commencement often.

The web-stream celebration on June 6 will feature guest performers and speakers, special recognition for college-wide award recipients, profiles of extraordinary graduates, and messages from faculty members. Details will be announced soon!
