The Instructional Resources Committee of the Senate is researching textbook choices that students make (digital vs paper, OER vs publisher, buying it versus not buying it). Last spring we surveyed faculty about their choices with textbooks. On Nov. 14, we posted a survey for students in the Student Announcements of the Campus Chronicle.
If you could paste the following (the bulleted list) into a Blackboard announcement for your courses, that would really help to get the word out and get more student responses!
- Please complete this brief online survey (https://forms.gle/mcJ4dGj9kj5LGSE18) for the Library about textbook access for a chance to win a $25 Stewarts gift card!
- The survey is anonymous and will inform college personnel for planning for future access to improve student experience.
- The survey will be available until Monday, Nov. 28, but please take a few minutes to complete it today!
If you have any questions about the survey, please email IRC co-chairs Jamey Thompson (j.thompson@hvcc.edu) and Erin Hatter (e.hatter@hvcc.edu).
