Effective June 1, 2020
Classified (NIEU) Employees
Employees who swipe at a time clock, please continue to do so. Kronos will calculate your time accurately.
Full-time employees who enter standard hours, please enter 7 hours under CV19 Reg Hours and .5 hours under Summer Hours. If you are not able to work due to the coronavirus, please continue to use CV19 Admin Leave. You should enter 7 hours under CV19 Admin Leave and .5 hours under Summer Hours.
The minimum daily total must read as 7.5 hours.
Nothing has changed for part-time Classified employees.
Non-Teaching Professionals (NTP’s)
Full-time employees please enter 7 hours under Hours Worked. Kronos will add the extra .5 for Summer Hours. If you are not able to work due to the coronavirus, please continue to use CV19 Admin Leave. You should enter 7 hours under CV19 Admin Leave and .5 hours under Summer Hours.
Minimum daily total must read as 7.5 hours.
Nothing has changed for part-time NTP employees.
Accruals
Timesheets should reflect actual hours worked. During the period of “Summer Hours,” employees will continue to accrue sick leave and vacation leave as though they were working 37 ½ hours. Therefore, charges to these leave accrual categories must be made on the basis of a normal 37 ½ hour work week and employees must make charges to such above categories to account for a full 7 ½ hour workday. For example, if an employee works for 3 ½ hours and covers the balance of the day with leave, 4 hours must be charged.
Charges to personal leave, flex time and compensatory time may be made to reflect the 7 hour work day in effect during the period of “Summer Hours.”
Faculty
Faculty members who have had spring classes extended, please use pay code CV19 Instruction for your hours worked.
Faculty members who use Clinical, please use CV19 Clinical instead.
Everything else is the same.
Thank you very much.
