The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness Committee met on Tuesday, June 23 at 1 p.m. The meeting minutes are as follows:
Dr. Margaret Geehan opened the meeting and discussed the Student Summer Opinion Survey. It was sent out Monday, June 22 and as of June 23, there were 110 responses.
Dr. Geehan briefly discussed Middle States. The committee will be discussing it more extensively at the next AIE meeting. Dr. Geehan will send materials out to the group.
Dr. Geehan and Margaret Mann provided an update on Institutional Student Learning Outcomes. ISLOs for programs continue to be entered into Nuventive. Kathy Petley announced that Hudson Valley has been invited to be part of a pilot project for Nuventive. The project will involve using the Nuventive software to capture and track college measures being taken during the COVID outbreak.
The committee discussed the Institutional Effectiveness Report, Goal 3 Pluralism. The group focused on Table 3.3.1 Graduation Rates by Ethnicity and discussed the disparities in percentages. The group discussed ways to get K-12 groups on campus earlier. The work on the college’s customer/consumer relationship management software (CRM) was discussed. A CRM feature that captures a student success score is being developed that will provide data on at-risk students in real time. Also, the student’s ultimate goal while at HVCC is being worked on in order to capture the student’s intention while here.
