I have a pretty little volunteer oak tree growing right where I hope to build a fence next spring and I would hate to cut down and dig out this little guy. I think it’s either a scarlet oak or a pin oak. We have a humongous pin oak in our front yard that is 60+ years old and there are many other oaks in the neighborhood that a squirrel could have transported here. There are actually two saplings but this one below is the bigger of the two. Anyway, if you are interested in this for planting wherever you’d like next spring, let me know. I’ll even help you dig it out.
