With the Fall 2020 semester right around the corner, the Viking’s Cove bookstore would like to share its reopening plans with the campus community. Fall textbooks will go on sale Monday, Aug. 3 and the bookstore is offering a variety of ways for students to obtain all their required and optional textbooks and supplies.
Beginning Aug. 3, the bookstore will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with a limited capacity of only 25 guests at a time. Bookstore staff are fully prepared to follow all the social distancing guidelines and have shields at every register, floor markings to guide you through the store. Face masks to be worn.
Online ordering also will be available for students, who can choose to have their order shipped or utilize curbside pick up. Online ordering is highly recommended because we anticipate longer-than-usual wait times due the limited capacity in the bookstore.
Viking’s Cove Bookstore extended hours
Aug. 17 – 21: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Aug. 24 – 28: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 29: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Aug. 31 – Sept. 4: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
We will also be holding an on campus textbook buyback during the first week of classes — Aug. 31 through Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — just outside the bookstore entrance. Students have the opportunity to sell their used textbooks back for cash, which provides the bookstore with a large selection of used books to sell at a 25% discount.
