on the first floor of the Siek Campus Center, Room 130.

The Center for Access and Assistive Technology (CAAT) would like to take this opportunity to welcome you back and to remind you of the services we provide to students, staff and faculty with disabilities at Hudson Valley Community College.

CAAT Publications: The following brochures are available — Center for Access and Assistive Technology, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Policies & Guidelines for Alternative Testing Services. Please see the CAAT website for valuable information that is helpful for college faculty and staff, to ensure access to college programs and activities for individuals with disabilities.

Please note: Should you encounter any access buttons across campus that are not operational, please contact Physical Plant directly at (518) 629-7356.

Handicapped Parking: There are currently 110 handicapped spaces throughout the campus. Please see the locations below:

B-lot located on North Drive has 24 spaces

C-lot located near the student’s pavilion has 14 spaces

E-lot located on South Drive has 4 spaces to access the Joe Bruno Stadium

G-lot located on upper South Drive has 8 additional spaces for access to the Joe Bruno Stadium

G-lot SCB 2 spaces

Holiday Drive at BTC has 8 spaces

Haas CAMS has 4 spaces

H-lot located on the south side of Williams Road has 8 spaces

J-lot located near Williams Road has 6 spaces for access to Cogan Hall and the Daycare Center; there is also 1

Additional space near the side entrance to the Daycare Center.

N-lot located behind the Campus Center has 10 spaces

Visitors Lot on Holliday Drive has 4 spaces

Parking Garage has 9 spaces

North side of the Conway Ice Rink has 3 spaces

Fire lane has 4 spaces for access to Brahan and the Science Center

Lapan Hall has 2 spaces

Scooters:  The CAAT has seven electric scooters available for loan to  students, staff and faculty use, based on individual needs and documented disabilities.

Emergency Evacuation Chairs are strategically placed in buildings throughout the entire campus in the event of an emergency situation.

Distance Learning/Blackboard: Please contact Distance Learning in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center (BTC), room 1042, or (518) 629-7070, if you have any questions regarding adjustment of settings within Blackboard to provide accommodations. The CAAT and Distance Learning work collaboratively to support both faculty and student needs with reasonable accommodations.
