Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 Degree/Certificate Application Deadlines
This is a reminder that the degree/certificate application deadlines for Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 graduation are as follows:
Spring 2023 — Monday, May 1, 2023
Summer 2023 — Monday, Aug. 7, 2023**
- If a student plans on graduating either in May or August, a completed degree/certificate application must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by the appropriate deadline as noted above.
- In order to complete the application process, a student must obtain approval from his or her advisor or department chairperson on the application. After downloading and completing the application, the student should send it to his or her academic advisor or department chairperson as an attachment to a message from the student’s Hudson Valley email account. After review and approval, the completed application must be forwarded to the Registrar’s Office (registrar@hvcc.edu) no later than the close of business by the deadlines indicated above.
- Applications received after the noted date will be considered for graduation for the following semester (i.e., a spring application received on May 2 will be considered a Summer 2023 application and a summer application received on August 8 will be considered a Fall 2023 application).
- **Important Note: Summer 2023 graduates are invited to the May Commencement ceremony. This will be the only commencement ceremony that you can attend. Summer degree/certificate candidates who submit their application after April 3, 2023 cannot be included in Commencement-related publications.
