10th annual Pride of Our Nation, Pride of Our College exhibit postponed

The 10th annual “Pride of Our Nation, Pride of Our College” exhibit is postponed until November 2021.

Ten years ago, a group of campus volunteers created the first Pride of Our Nation, Pride of Our College veterans exhibit honoring the active duty and veteran family members of Hudson Valley Community College students, faculty and staff.  Members of the college community were invited to submit photographs, stories, and or artifacts belonging to themselves or family members, who were serving or had served in the United States Armed Forces. Since the first exhibition in 2010, Pride of Our Nation, Pride of Our College has grown in size and complexity, and become one of the signature events on campus.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 10th anniversary exhibit has been postponed until November 2021. However, a year’s hiatus will give us time to plan a very special exhibition and celebration worthy of its tenth anniversary!

Those interested in helping to plan the exhibition, please contact Alice Malavasic at a.malavasic@hvcc.edu. Newcomers to campus, who would like to learn more about submitting photographs and stories, also should contact Alice.
