Dental Hygiene students and faculty took part in the second annual Student National Medical Association (SNMA) Health Fair in Albany on Saturday, March 25. Sponsored by CDPHP and Albany Medical College, the Health Fair serves as a way to benefit the community, especially those in need who lack access to equitable health care services.
The Health Fair offered information on Smoking Cessation, Diabetes Control, Mental Health, Cancer Screenings and Dental Health Education.
HVCC’s Dental Hygiene Team provided participants with oral hygiene instruction for proper brushing and flossing technique, and discussed oral hygiene nutrition. Attendees also received personal dental supplies, as well as information on how to schedule appointments for future services.
