Zoom training through CET

 

In the past six months, Zoom has become an integral part of all of our lives, professionally and personally. It can be used to reach out to family and friends, teach students, and connect an audience with content and ideas all across the globe.

The Center for Effective Teaching (CET) is offering Zoom training to the campus community that carries credit for certificates in Teaching & Learning, Leadership Developmment or Technology in the Classroom & Beyond.

Zoom Web Portal
Monday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m.
The Zoom web portal (https://hvcc.zoom.us) is your central hub to review and update such things as your profile, meeting settings, recording settings, and run your meeting reports. You can also use the web portal to schedule, view, and edit meetings. Limited to six participants.

Zoom App
Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.
The Zoom desktop and mobile apps are great for scheduling quick meetings, seeing what meetings you have coming up, and allows you the best experience when joining a meeting. The apps should be thought of as an extension of the web portal. They can allow you access to some of the web portal settings, but are mostly used for joining meetings. The apps also connect your calendar so that all of your Zoom meetings will appear on your Microsoft Outlook, iCal or Google Calendar.
