Tara Fracalossi, a professor in the Department of Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media and founding director of The Teaching Gallery, has taught photography and two-dimensional design for 30 years. Her photographs, installations and videos have been exhibited widely, including in solo and group exhibits in New York City, Philadelphia, Houston, London, Vienna, Slovakia, Belgium, and throughout the Hudson Valley. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Fracalossi holds an MFA from the University at Albany, SUNY and a BA from the University of Vermont. She and her husband, artist Thom Lail, live on an aging orchard in Kingston with their son, now in college, and dog.
