All are welcome to participate in voluntary COVID-19 pooled surveillance testing

Dear Hudson Valley Community Member,

If you wish to participate in the college’s weekly pooled surveillance testing, which has been implemented to help keep our campus safe and stop the spread of COVID-19, please sign up. The testing method is non-invasive and consists of a simple saliva sample you can take with a mouth swab.

What do I do next?
To schedule an appointment at the next available test day, go to http://covidtest.hvcc.edu. Testing will take place in the Siek Campus Center, first floor. Directional signs show you where to go.

Prior to your test, you must create a COVID-19 surveillance testing account that will help track your individual sample. Information gathered for your account is for SUNY use only — no information will be provided to an external party.

You can begin the account registration process at http://register.suny-covid.com/.

Please note: Some students might not have access to answers for all of the requested questions. We ask that you complete as much of the surveillance testing account registration as possible prior to your scheduled test. If needed, a college representative at the testing site will help you fill out the remainder of the questions on the form.

Day of Testing
On the day and time of your test, you must

  • have at least started the registration process and can access your account online using your personal mobile device (e.g. smartphone or tablet).
  • bring your Hudson Valley ID card or driver’s license and your personal mobile device with you

More Information
Once you schedule an appointment using the system noted above, you’ll receive a confirmation email that includes further directions on what you need to do prior to testing. The college’s COVID-19 information page also offers more information about the test.

Any questions regarding testing can be directed to staff in the college’s Health Services office at (518) 629-1234 or healthservice@hvcc.edu.

Thank you for participating in this voluntary effort to help keep our campus community safe!
