In its September 2020 quarterly “Update,” SEMI Works™ announced the launch of SEMI’s first Industry Approved Apprenticeship Program (IAAP) in partnership with GLOBALFOUNDRIES in Malta.
The IAAP is supported by SEMI-certified courses offered by Hudson Valley Community College that will soon be offered online. The program is designed to support the training of skilled technicians. Participants receive a SEMI credential and college credits to help with career laddering upon course completion.
SEMI is an industry association representing the end-to-end electronics design and manufacturing industry. PR Newswire reported on SEMI’s partnership with GLOBALFOUNDRIES in August.
