The Student Development unit is pleased to announce that it has contracted with Healthy Alliance/Unite Us to connect students with community support services.
Healthy Alliance is a network of community resources to supplement what we offer on campus. Through the Unite Us platform, Student Development staff will be able refer Hudson Valley and EOC students for support services in the areas of:
- Food assistance
- Housing and shelter
- Utilities
- Clothing and household goods
- Benefits navigation
- Mental health resources
- Individual and family support
- Transportation
- Education and employment
- Substance abuse resources
- Social enrichment
- Money management
- Wellness
- Additional services as the network grows
Currently, Healthy Alliance/Unite Us serves 25 counties in the Capital, Central and Adirondack regions of New York, with 1,000 partner locations and 1,950 programs available.
Our work with Healthy Alliance is just beginning, but we are ready to facilitate student referrals. The referral process involves a 15- to 30-minute screening conversation with a trained Student Development staff member, and requires the student to consent to the referral submission. Once the referral is submitted, support navigators from Healthy Alliance will coordinate with the student and community provider.
Please refer any student in need of support (even if the need is not listed above) to one of the following staff members:
