Almost half of HVCC graduates go on to further their education at a four-year college or university and the Center for Careers & Transfer (CCT) works closely with many four-year schools to help students with that process.
Admissions counselors (transfer reps as we call them) from four-year colleges and universities visit HVCC throughout the school year to meet with students. For now, those visits are held via Zoom.
Virtual Advisor Visits are best for students who want to speak 1:1 with a transfer rep.
- Appointments are generally 15-20 minutes and students receive advisement about admission criteria, general education requirements, course recommendations, and transfer of credit. We recommend that you have an unofficial copy of your transcript for your session (available through Wired).
Virtual Information Sessions are best for students who want to learn more about a four-year school without the 1:1 session.
- The transfer representative often has a presentation to share and allows time for student questions. No appointment is required.
New visits/sessions are added frequently – check the CCT website for announcements. Not sure which type of visit is best for you? Just ask. Our contact information is below.
If you are interested in learning more about a four-year school but don’t see an upcoming visit scheduled, connect with the CCT office to see if we have a contact name and information. We probably do, and we can let that school know you might be getting in touch if you want us to.
