The Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness Committee met on March 28. The meeting minutes follow.
Dr. Margaret Geehan and Meg Mann opened the meeting at p.m. The meeting was held mostly via Zoom.
Middle States
Dr. Geehan and her team in Institutional Effectiveness are preparing for the Middle States visit coming up April 2-5 when AIE Committee members will be interviewed by the Middle States Team. Different committee members will attend meetings dealing with Middle States Standards 1, 2, 4 and 5, and other college employees will be involved in Middle State meetings as well.
Dr. Geehan mentioned that a “Mock” Middle States visit is planned for March 29.
Institutional Effectiveness Plan
The Assessment Team had been working on updating the Institutional Effectiveness Plan. It was last updated in 2014. A chart showing the Fundamental Components of Assessment was shared.
AIE Committee Charge
Dr. Geehan said the charge for the AIE Committee will be shared again in order for members to revisit it (and rewriting it if necessary) within the next year since. It is from 2019 and out of date.
