Congratulation to the staff and families of Viking Child Care Center.
The Center received a 4 out of 5 stars provisional rating from the QUALITYstarsNY Quality Rating and Improvement system for early childhood programs. The Quality Standards represent the best practices in early childhood care and education in the areas of Learning Environments, Family Engagement, Qualifications and Experience, and Management and Leadership. The Child Care Center will now participate in an onsite assessment by an independent observation team, the results of these observations will be combined with the provisional rating to give the center an active rating.
The center is eager to participate in the QUALITYstarsNY program since it affords support to staff and families by providing additional materials and supplies to continue quality improvements, as well as professional development and tuition assistance for our staff wishing to pursue their college education in the early childhood field.
