HVCC welcomes visitors from North Macedonia

On May 15, College President Dr. Roger Ramsammy, Chief Operating Officer Katherine Better, and Director of Global Initiatives Dr. Jay Deitchman were pleased to welcome two members of the communications staff from the Office of the Prime Minister of North Macedonia to campus.

Ana Andreeva, secretary of Communications, Public Relations and Protocol, and Svetlana Siljanoska, communication and public relations associate, NATO and Security Affairs Office of the Prime Minister, were accompanied by Eugene Vricella, international visitor liaison.

The International Center of the Capital Region (ICCR), which is headquartered are on campus. hosted the visitors. ICCR is a non-profit organization founded in 1956 to promote cultural understanding by welcoming international leaders and newcomers to the Capital Region.

 

The visit was part of a project, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), to examine the operating procedures and policies of government press offices in the United States with the goal of strengthening the operations of their press office and promoting efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in their work with members of the press.
