Hudson Valley Community College has migrated from Blackboard to D2L’s Brightspace Learning Management System. The migration of the LMS is part of a larger SUNY initiative to implement a common Digital Learning Environment (DLE) across SUNY. This DLE consists of the LMS (Brightspace), several common tool integrations, a common technical architecture and data integration, and a standard look for faculty and students.
How do I Access Brightspace?
- Go directly to Brightspace at mylearning.hvcc.edu
- Or go to www.hvcc.edu, select I am…, and choose Student from the menu. Select D2L Brightspace from the list of available systems
- Enter your HVCC username (j.doe) and password in the login area to access your courses
How can I Become Familiar with Using Brightspace?
- The “HVCC Brightspace Training for Students” course is available to all students, staff, and faculty and provides tutorials on using various tools in Brightspace. Upon logging in, this course is available from your My Courses widget under the HVCC Training tab.

Where do I go to Access an Incomplete Spring 2023 Course?
- You will complete the coursework for the course on Blackboard
- Go to www.hvcc.edu, select I am…, and choose Student from the menu. Select Blackboard from the list of available systems
