Two policy revisions were approved at the May 23 Board of Trustees meeting:
Graduation with Honors Policy
Effective Spring 2023, this policy has been updated so that students will qualify for graduation with honors with a cumulative or degree GPA of 3.5 or higher. Previously, only a student’s cumulative GPA was considered. These changes have already been implemented for Spring 2023.
Chosen First Name, Gender Identity and Personal Pronouns Policy
This policy has been revised to include personal pronouns. Students and employees will have the option of selecting personal pronouns on all applications and registration forms. Pronouns will be stored on the individual’s record in Banner and appear on ID cards, for-credit class rosters, degree audits and advising tools. These changes are effective Fall 2023, but will be implemented in the coming weeks. More to come as these changes are developed.
Both revised policies will be included in the 2023-2024 College Catalog.
