President Roger Ramsammy will welcome U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona and U.S. Representative Paul Tonko to the Hudson Valley Community College campus today. Cardona took office on March 2, 2021 as the 12th U.S. Secretary of Education.
Cardona and Tonko will be joined by SUNY Chancellor John King, Jr. and Roberta Reardon, NYS Commissioner of Labor, for a campus tour. They will be joined by several of HVCC’s education and workforce partners for a roundtable discussion in the Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills Senior Lab.
The visit is part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Invest in America tour which focuses on career and technical education.
The event is open to media and invited guests.
