HVCC STEM High School

 

Have you heard about HVCC’s STEM High School? Questar III’s new STEM High School on HVCC’s campus opened in Fall 2021 to an incoming ninth grade class, with the aim of having a full high school of 9th to 12th graders in four years (70 students per cohort). Students from school districts in Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Schoharie and Southern Saratoga counties may attend the high school.

The benefits of attending are:

  • Preparation for in-demand STEM careers in Computer Information Systems, Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, and Health Sciences
  • Either 24 to 60 transferable college credits from the Smart Scholars – Early College High School program (SS-ECHS) or an Associate of Applied Science Degree from the Pathways in Technology program (P-TECH)
  • A combination high school, college, and work-based experience
