On August 16, Chief Diversity Officer Ainsley Thomas, EOC Executive Director Denise Fernandez-Pallozzi, Honors College Director Lamyaa Hassib spoke to 75 City of Albany youth and their parents who visited campus to learn about college readiness.
The students were part of the City of Albany Ready, Set, Goal! program. The initiative links youth in the city to economic opportunities and in turn builds a pipeline of highly-qualified talent that will shape the community’s economic future. Cooperative economics and personal and professional goal setting serve as the foundation of this initiative. The program is organized by Chief City Auditor Dr. Dorcey Applyrs in the City of Albany’s Office of Audit and Control.
