The difference between admission to a school and a degree program?

Getting accepted into a school doesn’t guarantee entry into degree programs that may have higher standards, such as certain GPA requirements. That’s especially true for demanding programs like engineering or other STEM fields, experts say. “It leads to a lot of frustration for parents and students who don’t understand this,” Moore says. He advises students to make sure they know exactly what they’re transferring into and what the requirements are for the degree program they hope to enter.
