Managing Test Anxiety & Other Helpful Study Tips

“Most people feel some stress when it comes to taking a test. Moderate levels of stress can actually improve motivation, memory, and attention, and enhance test performance. Test anxiety, however, involves stress and worry that interferes with test performance, well-being, and attitudes toward school.

Symptoms of test anxiety may be physical and mental, and can include sweating, nausea, stomachache, shaking, muscle tension, nervousness, feeling overwhelmed, and the feeling of one’s mind going blank.” ~TherapistAid.com

Music

Music can help us relax, calm our worries and nerves, and even help us focus when it comes to studying for an exam. The best type of music to listen to when studying is considered to be “soothing” music, rather than music that is more intense or angry in nature. For some that may mean Beethoven or Mozart, for others the playlists provided below will encourage a productive and stress free mood.
