Employee Tuition Reimbursement Available for FY 2023-2024

Colleagues:

On behalf of President Ramsammy, I am pleased to announce that tuition reimbursement for all employees has been included in the 2023-2024 college operating budget.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Available to ALL employees.
  • Reimbursement is available for coursework taken for credit at any nationally or regionally accredited college.
  • Coursework does not have to be job-related.
  • You do not have to be matriculated into a program to be eligible.
  • Reimbursement is for tuition only (no fees), based on 50% of the current SUNY in-state tuition rate for up to 6 credits per semester.
  • Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The campus community will be notified when the funds are depleted for the fiscal year.

For Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 (if funds are still available), the reimbursement rate per semester is:

  • $105.50 per credit/$633 maximum (6 credits) — Associate degrees and credit-bearing certificates taken at a college other than Hudson Valley Community College*

Here’s the procedure for reimbursement:

1.    Register and pay for the course(s).
2.    Send copies of the registration (a schedule is fine) and payment receipt to reimbursement@hvcc.edu. There are no forms to fill out.
3.    You will be contacted by Accounts Payable via email when your check is ready.

*Please note that this does not apply to courses taken at Hudson Valley. For information on how to take courses here, please contact Human Resources or consult your bargaining unit agreement.

If you have any questions, please email reimbursement@hvcc.edu.

Have a great day!
