Free Cosmetology Clinics Now Open!

The Cosmetology program at the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (CDEOC) is now accepting appointments for clinics on Thursdays. Clinics are open to the community and services are free, however we ask for a donation of a non-perishable food item for our food pantry.

Please note that services are performed by students enrolled in the Cosmetology Program under the supervision of licensed Cosmetology professionals. The clinics allow our students to gain valuable experience working with real clients.

WHAT: Free services provided by Cosmetology students (under the supervision of licensed Cosmetology professionals)

WHEN: Thursdays (first appointments at 10 a.m. and last appointments at 1 p.m.)
Please note: The clinic will be closed on Nov. 23

WHERE: Capital District EOC (431 River St, Troy)

SERVICES: Cuts, coloring,* styling (e.g., blowouts, rollers, events, formal), braiding,* locs,* permanent waving,* relaxers,* hair treatments (e.g., protein, moisture, scalp, conditioning), manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, gels, eyebrow and facial waxing, makeup application

*Morning appointments only

COST: At least one (1) non-perishable food item (e.g., dry or canned goods such as pasta, sauce, soups, veggies, granola or protein bars, peanut butter, nuts, etc.)

To make an appointment for a service, call the CDEOC Cosmetology Salon at (518) 273-1900 ext. 2206. Please note that clients are limited to one service per visit, and one visit per month.
