Did you know…?
While there are many transferable skills, industry experts consistently list the “ability to work effectively in a group or team” as one of the most important attributes sought when they’re considering a job candidate’s overall potential.
Many positions will require you to work as part of a team to achieve goals. By demonstrating your ability to work well with others through examples on your resume or cover letter, you reassure employers that you will “fit in” and offer valuable contributions to the team. You can use examples from previous work experience, team projects in school, on sports teams or even within social groups.
Each Friday, the Center for Careers and Transfer provides a quick and informational fact pertaining to strategies for college transfer or employment.
