On Thursday, Nov. 2, HVCC hosted 50 high school teachers for its annual College in the High School Faculty Development Day. This event provides CIHS faculty the opportunity to come to campus, meet with their department chair and fellow faculty members, and discover resources available to them and their students.
This year’s program included a keynote presentation by Dr. Chris Hakala (shown in bottom photo below), who spoke about the science of learning and how it can impact teaching.
