Healthy Minds Survey for Students — Participation Needed!

Beginning on Monday, Nov. 6, Hudson Valley students will be invited to participate in the Healthy Minds Student (HMS) Survey. The survey is administered online and student data is anonymous. As students participate in completing the survey, recommendations for campus and community supports will be provided as needed.

The survey is an important tool as we work with the Jed Foundation to help gain insight into the mental health and wellness of our students and assess our current programs. Ultimately, this will be the basis for our work in strengthening our mental health and wellness support services.

HMS began at the University of Michigan. In the past 15 years, the survey has been administered at more than 530 colleges and universities, and has collected responses from over 740,000 students.

Please reach out to Gayle Healy, dean of Student Development, at g.healy@hvcc.edu or (518)6279-7326 with any questions.

The survey will run through Nov. 27, 2023, and participants will be entered into drawings for movie tickets, Starbucks gift cards and HVCC t-shirts, plus a national sweepstakes to win 1 of 2 $500 prizes or 1 of 10 $100 prizes.
