Hudson Valley is one of the 25 SUNY campuses taking part in the replication of CUNY’s Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP)/Accelerate, Complete and Engage (ACE) programs.
CUNY ASAP/ACE began in 2007 and is now replicated across the country serving over 900,000 students. Evidence from randomized controlled trials demonstrated significant improvement in degree completion through participation in ASAP/ACE. Students participating in the program receive funding to assist in closing the financial gap, text book assistance and comprehensive wraparound supports to assist them in completing their degree within three years.
Funding for the program and student supports is provided through the SUNY Transformation Fund. Participating campuses take part in regularly scheduled technical assistance sessions with CUNY and SUNY to build their ASAP or ACE program. Campuses will launch the program in the spring 2024 semester with a cohort of 40-50 students, increasing to a cohort of up to 150 students in the fall of 2024.
