An invitation is extended to the campus community to join Public Safety in wishing a fond farewell to Mark Flavin, campus security and access officer, upon his retirement on Wednesday, Nov. 29.
Please stop by room 150 in the Siek Campus Center at 2 p.m. to congratulate Mark on his 40+ year career at Hudson Valley Community College and to wish him well as he begins a new chapter in his life.
Stationed at Public Safety’s front desk more days than not, Mark has greeted and assisted a multitude of students, staff and visitors to campus over the years. During his tenure, he received both a Meritorious Service Award in 2013 and a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service in 2023.
