Please be apprised of the following downtime and advise your students who may work late nights on Blackboard.
Per Blackboard.com our Learn SaaS Production instance bbprod.hvcc.edu will need to be taken offline for five (5) hours for required maintenance. This will take place Tuesday, March 9 at 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. on March 10.
Blackboard is attempting to achieve Product Minimum Baseline Security Controls (PBSC) accreditation, which requires data to be encrypted at rest to enhance security for all client confidential information. Encryption at Rest for the database instance requires this downtime as the instance needs to be put in the shutdown mode, before creating a snapshot and provisioning a new encrypted database instance using the snapshot.
