The third of four live-streamed talks with the participating artists is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 18. Mandy Cano Villalobos, who earned a MFA degree from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, talks about her work and career, and will answer questions from the audience.

Cano Villalobos re-inhabits an earlier video series, Sanities and Solitudes, in which she ritualizes the humblest of tasks – scrubbing a floor, smashing berries, tearing pages, according to Associate Professor Tara Fracalossi, director of The Teaching Gallery. An interdisciplinary artist whose projects span installation, painting, drawing, performance, sculpture and video, Cano Villalobos currently lives in Grand Rapids, MI.

The remaining artist talk is:
Thursday, April 8 at 2:30 p.m. – Megan Suttles

The talks are free to the public with access links available at www.hvcc.edu/teachinggallery.
