Upcoming COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

As of April 6, 2021, New Yorkers 16 years of age and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This is great news and a big step in the fight against COVID-19. If you have not yet been vaccinated, please use the below resources to verify eligibility and schedule your vaccine appointment.

Rensselaer County will be holding vaccination clinics for county residents this week at the county POD at Hudson Valley Community College in the McDonough ice rink, including first dose clinics with the Pfizer vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine can be administered to 16- and 17-year-olds, and the county is encouraging teens to be vaccinated. To assist, the county will hold a clinic featuring the Pfizer vaccine with later hours on Thursday. Parents or guardians are required to accompany 16- and 17-year-olds to the clinics.

Information and availability for the Rensselaer County POD at Hudson Valley can be found by clicking the following links for appointment registration:

Wednesday 4/14/21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering the Moderna vaccine.

Wednesday 4/14/21, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., offering the Pfizer vaccine.

Thursday 4/15/21, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering the Pfizer vaccine.

The county will also be conducting clinics for the second dose on Friday and Saturday, also at the county POD at Hudson Valley Community College. Registration links for these clinics will be shared on the county’s social media pages. Other first-dose clinics are being planned for the coming days, depending on supplies.

For more information on the three authorized vaccines, visit the CDC’s vaccine information website.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our campus community safe and healthy.
