Biology Club Microbe Art contest postponed to March 18th

Due to a scheduling conflict with another departmental event, the Microbe Art competition will be held on Monday, March 18 at 2:30 p.m. in SCI 240. (The original date was March 4.)

All supplies will be provided, and all are welcome until available spots are filled.
Please contact Dr. Kadaba (s. kadaba@hvcc.edu) or Dr. Dasgupta (j.dasgupta@hvcc.edu) if you are interested in participating.

What is Microbe Art? Bacteria, when growing on agar plates, often form colonies of various colors. The idea of agar art or microbe art is to use agar plates as the palette and the bacteria as the colors.

Please view the video below to she how microbe/agar art is created.

Please contact Drs. S. Kadaba (s. kadaba@hvcc.edu) or Jaya Dasgupta (j.dasgupta@hvcc.edu) if you are interested.
